There are a many great looking convertible cribs on the market today. Few of these actually offer growing families the same beautiful proportions once the crib is converted into a toddler bed, day bed or adult bed. At Milk Street Baby, we think through every construction detail, assuring new parents that their Milk Street crib will be beautiful and relevant in each of its "lives." As a toddler bed, many cribs are converted by removing the entire front gate. This leaves the thin, end profiles of the side rails visible when the toddler rail is attached. At Milk Street Baby, most of our cribs are constructed so that the center, front gate is all that is removed, leaving the thick posts and caps intact for tot mode and daybed mode. Not only does this keep the unique Milk Street look and feel consistent through all conversions, but it allows a family to continue to utilize the sturdiest parts of the bed structure. In the case of our Cameo Oval crib, the design left us no choice but to construct the front gate as one piece. In keeping with our aesthetic standard, the toddler conversion kit actually includes two new posts for use with the toddler rail. Once again, Milk Street Baby gives new families that extra touch.
When converting a Milk Street crib into an adult size bed, we offer you the option of using your crib front as the footboard or the option of using our low profile footboard.
